There are many ways Baruch College can improve using new media. One thing Baruch College can improve on is the communication between professors and students. Instead of using the conventional email, there should be a separate platform, like Facebook Messenger, for instant chat. There are many cases where professors don't check email because it is not their priority. Emails are often answered last when it is often too late. The instant chat should focus on notifying the professor. Another way Baruch College can improve using new media is having a dedicated database with every student's email and linkedin. This way students can directly connect with each other without having to reach out to someone else before reaching the intended person.
