The difference between Twitter and Blackboard is that Twitter obviously has a large user base. Twitter is used to connect people, similar to Facebook. Blackboard discussion is used for academic reasons. Twitter is used for entertainment; You follow people you want to keep up with. #'s are used to connect people to your discussion. It is similar to the difference between Discord and Slack. Slack is used for businesses and Discord is used for general communication. Twitter offers more of a real-time discussion compared to Blackboard discussion and it a lot for more fun and engaging. No one actually uses Blackboard to communicate.
