A new media that does not currently exist yet but is in the making is advanced virtual reality, similar to the virtual reality shown in the novel and film "Ready Player One." Unlike today's virtual reality, virtual reality that uses brain power instead of body movements does not exist yet. This is great for people who are paralyzed and is looking for a way to escape their harsh reality of not being able to do the things they want to. Another great thing we can add to this is implementing a prize system within the virtual reality where you can earn money in real life. Advanced virtual reality is great because you are able to build communities where people are like-minded without any restrictions (goal-orientated). If virtual reality is advanced to the point where we are able to mimic reality perfectly, we can use virtual reality for experiments.Virtual reality is just a bunch of 1 and 0's and can be replicated, meaning that the world within virtual reality is limitless.

  1. I recently watched Ready Player One and think this idea is really cool! I think that with our developing technology we will eventually get to the technology used in Ready Player One and it will be a new type of VR.

  2. I never saw the movie "Ready Player One" however this sounds like a really cool idea, earning money in real life but in a virtual reality? I'm down for that. Haha, thanks for sharing.

  3. I love that idea. Sometimes, someone just wants to escape the truth of reality and go into a new world where they can feel the same happiness they once felt before! Great idea, hope sometime like that happens during my lifetime!

  4. Haven't seen the movie yet, but I've heard great things. Nonetheless, I think we're still a long way from that type of VR described in the movie, and AR is really the way of the future (for now). Google just announced an awesome new feature coming to their maps app that incorporates AR into it, giving it a completely different feel.
